Identifying the Problem
Not every case needs professional remediation, but they should all have a professional assessment.
If we find your issue does not require extreme removal, we will explain to you how you can remove it in a safe and cost effective way.
Protecting your Health
Not all mold is serious and can sometimes be managed with a surface cleaning. However, some types can be very serious and that is where we come in.
Common exposure symptoms:
- Runny or stuffy nose
- Eye irritation, such as itchy, red, watery eyes
- Respiratory problems, such as wheezing and difficulty breathing, chest tightness
- Itchy nose and throat
- Skin irritation, such as a rash
- Sneezing/Sneezing fits
People most likely to be affected are people with immune deficiencies, infants with underdeveloped lungs, or people with asthma/allergies.
Most side effects to every type of mold is type 1 hay fever. When we remove the mold many of our customers say, “Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can breathe again!”
Protecting your Investment
Identifying the issue quickly and having the right professionals care for the area can save you money in the long run. Ignoring or superficially removing the mold will only allow the problem to spread and become more difficult, and therefore most costly, to remove.
If you suspect mold, get in touch with us and we’ll send someone over to inspect the problem right away.
Our 6-Step Process to Mold Removal:
Removing the contamination requires the right equipment and professionals who know how to use it.
Step 1. We send an inspector to perform a series of tests to determine if there is a problem
Typically, once the inspector arrives at your house, they’ll perform a number of simple tests to confirm and diagnose the type of mold and to figure out the best way to deal with it. This might include taking samples from the air in the affected area, as well as taking a direct microscopic sample.
Step 2. We diagnose the type and put together an action plan to get rid of it
If the results of both tests come back positive, it’s time to take action. Stachybotrys, in particular, is a species known as “black mold,” and it can cause a litany of negative symptoms in people if they’re exposed to it for a long enough period of time. These symptoms span from chronic fatigue to headaches, or other allergy like symptoms.
Most Stachybotrys species inhabit materials rich in cellulose, such as drywall.
We can recommend trades people who will diagnose and/or repair the source of the moisture, such as a leaky pipe or roof.
Step 3. We provide an estimate for how long the removal will take and at what cost.
We pride ourselves on letting clients know all the costs, right up front.
Step 4. Once we isolate the mold, we contain it and protect the surrounding area
Before we remove the drywall, we set up a containment area to cover the affected areas. We then install an air scrubber to trap any airborne spores that might escape while we’re working. This also helps to rid the home or building of the off-gassing odor caused by MVOC’s (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds).
We carefully protect the surrounding area using durable plastic coverings.
Step 5. After we contain the problem, clean up begins
Once the area is properly contained, we can start removing the affected drywall, etc. and will treat the area. We employ hepa vacuuming and fogging to eliminate any airborne mold spores.
Step 6. Once all the mold is removed, we clean and treat the area to remove any traces
We can tackle all types of mold problems, big and small. Our professional inspectors and technicians will help you get your property healthy again. We guarantee it.
